TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Bowie Baysox will meet in game three of a four-game series...The Flying Squirrels never trailed through the first nine innings in game two of the series with the Baysox; however, Ryan Adams' one-out, solo home run in the top of the 10th inning helped lift Bowie to a 5-4 win on Friday night at The Diamond.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Left-hander Clayton Tanner gets the start in game three of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Received a no-decision in his last outing at Altoona 7/11...Allowed two runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings...Struck out five batters and walked four...Recorded five fly outs and two ground outs...Allowed the leadoff batter to reach in four of his five innings on the mound...Was his shortest outing since 5/16 against Altoona (2 1/3 innings)...Had previously pitched six innings or more in seventh consecutive starts...Walked four batters or more for the fourth time in 17 starts...Has allowed 23 runs, 19 earned, on 48 hits over 57 innings in his last nine starts since coming off of the DL 5/30 (3.00 ERA)...Left-handed batters are hitting .208 against him (15-for-72)...Has not won since 6/15 against Binghamton (five starts)...Is 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA in four starts against Bowie...Has allowed 10 runs, eight earned, on 19 hits in 19 innings against the Baysox with 10 strikeouts and four walks.

Left-hander Rick Zagone gets the nod in game three of the series for the Baysox...Earned his first Double-A win in his last outing 7/10 against Trenton...Allowed two runs on seven hits in six innings of work...Stuck out four batters and walked one...Has turned in quality starts in each of his first three outings with Bowie...Began the season with Advanced-A Frederick and went 5-6 with a 3.20 ERA in 15 starts...Went 4-1 with 2.06 ERA over his final six outing with Frederick...Allowed 13 runs, eight earned, on 30 hits over 35 innings while striking out 24 and walking seven...Began the season 1-5 with a 4.12 ERA over his first nine starts...Allowed 29 runs, 20 earned, on 49 hits over 43 2/3 innings while striking out 30 batters and walking 15...Tossed a nine-inning complete game 5/26 at Wilmington, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out five and walking two...First career complete game...Went 1-3 with a 5.10 ERA in 13 starts with Advanced-A Frederick in 2009...Began 2009 season with Low-A Delmarva and went 4-5 with a 4.66 ERA in 13 games, 12 starts...Named a 2009 South Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star...Made pro debut with Short Season-A Aberdeen in 2008...Went 7-1 with a 2.89 ERA in 15 games, 11 starts, while striking out 79 batters and walking 14...Selected in the 6th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft...Attended the University of Missouri.

AT A LOSS: With a loss tonight, the Flying Squirrels would match their longest losing streak of the season...The club has dropped five straight games on three times, most recently 6/16-6/20...Each of the last four losses have come by three runs or less, and Richmond's average margin of defeat is just 1.5 runs...The Flying Squirrels have lost seven of their last eight games after winning four of their previous five.

DROUGHT CONDITIONS: With last night's loss, Richmond has reached a new low-water mark at eight games under .500...Since improving to a season-best nine games over .500 on 5/14, the Flying Squirrels are just 20-37.

EXTRA TOUGH: The Flying Squirrels fell to 4-4 in extra innings with last night's 5-4 loss in 10 innings to the Baysox...The club had won each of its previous three extra-inning affairs, all against Erie...It was Richmond's second loss in extra innings against Bowie this season (5/31, 3-2 loss in 11 innings).

TAKING THE BELT-WAY: First baseman Brandon Belt has hits in each of his last 10 games...Over the last 10 contests, the 22-year-old is 18-for-41 (.439) with a double, a triple, five home runs, eight RBI, and eight runs scored...He is currently averaging a home run every 8.8 at-bats with the Flying Squirrels...In 88 games combined between Advanced-A San Jose and Double-A Richmond, Belt leads all of minor league baseball in batting average (.387) and on-base percentage (.488) and is third in slugging percentage (.655) and ranks fourth in hits (121).

THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal has hits in each of his last five games...He is 8-for-19 (.421) over his last five contests with three doubles and four runs scored...It is the seventh hit streak of five games or more for Neal, tops on the club...The 22-year-old leads the team with 27 multi-hit games and also leads the team with 33 extra-base hits...Neal is sixth in the Eastern League in hits (99) and tied for sixth in the league in doubles (24).

ERROR OMISSION: The Flying Squirrels have gone six consecutive games without committing an error...It matches the longest streak without an error for the club on the season and the first since going six straight games without an error 6/5-6/11...Richmond currently leads the Eastern League in fielding percentage (.983) and has committed the second-fewest errors (61).

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 121 double plays in 92 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned and has not gone more than two games without turning a double play.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: Right-hander David Mixon matched a career high with 10 strikeouts last night...The only other time he fanned 10 batters was 9/3/09 at Inland Empire when he combined with two relievers on a no-hitter...The 10 strikeouts were a season-high for a Richmond pitcher.
