Flyers' Coach Laviolette, Hockey Staff to Arrive for Titans Practice Tuesday

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, ECHL member and proud affiliate of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, are thrilled to welcome the Flyers' Head Coach Peter Laviolette, Director of Player Development Ian Laperrier and other members of the Flyers Hockey Staff to the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ, tomorrow to watch and help work with the Titans' current roster.

Laviolette, Laperrier and the Flyers' Hockey Staff will be on hand to watch and work directly with Titans' Head Coach Vince Williams and the Titans' players during their 10 am practice, which will be open to the media. Players and coaches can be made available for questions afterwards.

Laviolette was named the Flyers' head coach December 4, 2009. Prior to that he spent parts of five seasons as the head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes (03-09), and guided the Hurricanes to their only Stanley Cup Championship in 2006, He has also coached internationally for Team USA in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, as well as the 2004 and 2005 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships, where he won bronze on 2004.

Laperrier skated for the Flyers during the 2009-10 season and was part of their Stanley Cup Finals run. Injuries sustained during those playoffs eventually forced him to retire June 12, 2012. He was named to his current position less than one month later.

Titans' Tuesdays - Tuesday's on the radio are now "Titans Tuesdays" throughout the hockey season, as Head Coach Vince Williams takes to the airways twice. First, he will be interviewed live on WCTC-1450 AM at 1:25 pm to talk about the team. Then at 8 pm, he will join Titans' broadcaster Daryle Dobos on the Trenton Titans Coaches Show on the Titans' flagship station, 107.7 FM The Bronc. The show will broadcast live from Killarney's Publick House in Hamilton Township, NJ.

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase in attendance over the previous year, the largest of any team in the 20-team ECHL.
