Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Recap of Last Week
Wednesday night the Road Warriors kicked off the 2012-2013 season with a Meet the Team Party exclusively for season ticket holders. Fans were able to enjoy many exciting events including player autographs, an introduction of the team and a new mascot unveiling. Fans finished off the night by sending off the Road Warriors on their first road trip of the season to Trenton, New Jersey.
The Road Warriors finished Opening Weekend in the same manner the team did last season with two losses. The road trip was not kind to the Road Warriors who began the season with a loss on Friday night against the Tenton Titans. The Titans won their home opener by a score of 3-1. Last season's leading scorer, Brandon Wong, was the only Road Warrior to score. The Road Warriors lost again the following night in Elmira by a score of 7-1. The only offense generated came off the stick of forward Bretton Cameron. He was the only Road Warrior to have two points the entire weekend, having assisted on Wong's goal the night before.
