Florida Panthers Acquire RW Mark Mancari from St. Louis

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has acquired RW Mark Mancari from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for LW Eric Selleck. Additionally, the club announced it traded Doug Janik to the Chicago Wolves for future considerations.

Mancari, 28, has played in 44 games for the Chicago Wolves (AHL) this season, posting 31 points (9-22-31) and 22 PIM. The London, Ont native has appeared in 42 career National Hockey League games with the Buffalo Sabres (2006-11) and Vancouver Canucks (2011-12), registering 13 points (3-10-13) and 22 PIM.

Mancari has played in 563 career AHL games (2005-14), recording 480 points (203-277-480) and 488 PIM. He was named to the 2010-11 AHL first All-Star team after recording 64 points (32-32-64) in 56 games with the Portland Pirates.

The 6-foot-4, 208-lb winger was drafted in the seventh round (207th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. Mancari recorded 158 points (76-82-158) in 226 games over four seasons with Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League.
