
Florida Flexes Once Again, Takes Down Admirals

For the second consecutive night the Admirals fell behind early as Levko Koper beat Connor Knapp just 3:10 in. John McCarron and Matt Berry received assists on the goal, the first of multiple points on the evening for both men. The tally would be the only one of the first period, despite the Everblades owning the shot category 18-6.
When the middle frame opened, the scoring remained the same, as the home side would strike not once but twice. Kevin Raine earned a primary assist on the second goal of the evening when he blasted a shot from the point area that was deflected past the Admirals netminder via John McCarron. Zack Kamrass additionally got a helper, his second in as many nights and first of two on Saturday.
Barely two minutes later Matt Berry tacked on his second point of the night when he placed a shot over the blocker-side shoulder of Knapp. It was Kamrass and Raine on the assists once again, thus concluding the scoring in the middle frame.
The Admirals would come to life in the third though, getting on the board via Jaedon Descheneau. #74 caught a piece of Sam Noreau's heavy blast from the top of the right side circle that got by Anthony Peters to spoil his shutout. Norfolk won the shots battle 13-6 in the third, in what was also undoubtedly their best period of the evening.
Norfolk now returns home to prepare for a weekend set against the Manchester Monarchs and Atlanta Gladiators. Friday is Military Appreciation Night, which includes discounted tickets for those with a Military ID. Saturday is Super Hero Night featuring Tidewater Comicon. Fans are encouraged to dress up and take photos with their favorites before the game.
