
Flores, Aviators spoil Cats' fourth

Pedro Flores twirled seven innings of shutout baseball and Rodney Medina was 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Aviators topped Fort Worth 4-2 in front of 7,431 fans Tuesday at LaGrave Field.
The loss extended the Cats' losing streak to four games as their second-half record fell to 0-1.
Flores, who had a no-hitter through five, limited the Cats to just two hits in seven innigns of work. He struck out eight and walked five en route to his third win of the season.
Dan Grybash (4-4) took the loss as he gave up two runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings of work. Grybash walked five and struck out three.
Jack Joffrion's RBI single gave Coastal Bend a 1-0 lead in the fourth as he drove home Jeff Ontiveros.They added two runs in the seventh on a bases-loaded walk to Matt Creighton and an run-scoring single by Ontiveros.
The Cats' only runs came in the ninth when newcomer Shawn Williams drew a two-out walk and catcher Adam Miller slammed his first home run of the season, a two-run shot to left.
The series continues Wednesday with Ryan Weems on the hill for the Cats. Ricky Stover is scheduled to pitch for Coastal Bend.
