Saint John, NB â The Saint John Flames announced today the signing of 24-year-old defenceman Jeff Sullivan to a 25-game Professional Tryout Agreement.
Sullivan began the season with the Flames East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs, and has recorded 2 assist and 18 penalty minutes in 8 games. The 6'1", 215 lb native of St. John's, Newfoundland has also appeared in 1 contest with Saint John this season. Sullivan was Ottawa 's sixth round selection, 146th overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
The Flames return to action this weekend as they host their Canadian Division rivals, the St. John's Maple Leafs, in back-to-back games at Harbour Station on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for these games and all Flames November, December and January home games are currently available at the Harbour Station Box Office, the Imperial Theatre Box Office, selected Irving locations (Main Street West, Champlain Heights, Millidgeville, Marr Road, Hampton and Grand Bay), and Charge-by-Phone at 657-1234 or 1-800-267-2800.
Flames season tickets and Pick-10 and Pick-20 game packs can be purchased at the Flames administrative office located on the second floor of Harbour Station or by calling 635-2637.
The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
