The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club has announced that Head Coach Paul Fixter has been relieved of his duties as Head Coach. The announcement comes at the half-way mark of the season with the Wolves having a record of: 7 wins, 25 losses, 2 overtime losses for a .235 winning percentage.
Associate Coach David Matsos has been named as the interim Head Coach while Bryan Verreault will continue as Assistant Coach. Wolves' President and GM Blaine Smith added, "After seeing some improvement in our team's play in the early part of December, our compete-level of late hasn't been good, and it was time to make a change."
Matsos will make his debut as Head Coach tonight when the Wolves host the number one ranked team in the CHL - the Oshawa Generals at the Sudbury Arena. Game time is 7:00 pm.
