A hat-trick from Blake Siebenaler helped lift the Niagara IceDogs to a 6-5 shootout win over the Kitchener Rangers Saturday night at the Meridian Centre.

Justin Bailey scored at 12:13 to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead before Billy Jenkins answered less than two minutes later with his 4th goal of the season. A late power play goal by Siebenaler gave the IceDogs a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.

The Rangers struck three times in the second period with goals from Brandon Robinson, Connor Bunnaman and Adam Mascherin to make it 4-2.

With two goals in 25 seconds early in the third period, Siebenaler finished off the hat-trick and tied the game for the IceDogs. Bailey scored his second of the game at 10:58 before Brendan Perlini brought this IceDogs level again with his 8th of the season.

After overtime solved nothing, Jenkins scored the only goal in the shootout to give the IceDogs the win and the sweep over the Rangers this season.

The IceDogs are back at it Thursday night when they travel to Barrie to take on the Colts for the first time this season.
