MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats will debut a unique new uniform for their upcoming game on Sunday, June 12, with custom jerseys featuring Ollie the Bat Dog. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free "pawtographed" Ollie Hat, courtesy of Northeast Delta Dental.
Pictured below, the uniform displays an image of the team's beloved golden retriever as he delivers a bat back to the dugout. Ollie has been with the Fisher Cats since the 2010 season.
The first 1,000 fans will receive an Murphy Smith models the new Ollie jersey for Sunday, June 12. Ollie hat at the gates, presented by Northeast Delta Dental.
As part of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit MPAL, the Manchester Police Athletic League. The festivities include special recognition and performances by the NHPA Pipes & Drums Band, local K9 officers and more. Fans will also be able to see law enforcement vehicles on display at the ballpark.
The Fisher Cats will host the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles Double-A Affiliate) with first pitch scheduled for 1:35 p.m., and kids can run the bases after the final out. The game will be the last of a six-game homestand before the team embarks on a nine-day road trip.
