New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are teaming up with Minor League Baseball Charities to support the victims of tornados and flooding in three southern communities associated with Minor League Baseball. On Saturday, May 28, the Fisher Cats will donate a portion of online and telephone ticket sales and internet merchandise sales to aid relief efforts in Huntsville and Birmingham, AL, and Memphis, TN.
"The Fisher Cats have always been determined to support causes like this in our own community," said Matt Person, Fisher Cats Vice President of Business Operations. "But as a member of the larger Minor League Baseball family, we feel it is equally important to partner with our fans and lend a helping hand any way we can after such consistent devastation."
For every ticket purchased online or by telephone for May 28, the Fisher Cats will donate $1 to MiLB Charities, doubling the suggested amount generously recommended through the MiLB initiative. In addition to those ticket sales, 15% of all merchandise sales from May 16th - May 30th through the team's internet store will be donated to the recovery effort.
Fans can begin purchasing tickets by using the promotional code 'RELIEF' when ordering tickets through the team's website, www.nhfishercats.com. Orders can also be placed by calling 603-641-2005 from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.
The Fisher Cats will host the New Britain Rock Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, at 7:05 PM on Saturday, May 28.
The Fisher Cats return to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to open a four-game series with the New Britain Rock Cats on Friday, May 27, at 7:05 PM. Friday night's game will be followed by a spectacular Atlas Fireworks show and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Fisher Cats T-shirt, courtesy of Dead River Company.
Individual game tickets, season tickets, mini-ticket plans and tickets to the 2011 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game are available now at the Fisher Cats ticket office at 1 Line Drive, Manchester, NH 03101, online at www.nhfishercats.com or by calling the Fisher Cats at (603) 641-2005.
