Manchester, NH- Brad Mills, Seth Overbey and Jason Burch combined on a six-hit shutout before a standing-room-only crowd of 6,850 Wednesday afternoon as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats blanked the Harrisburg Senators 4-0.

Mills (2-1) lowered his ERA since joining the Fisher Cats to 0.44, blanking Harrisburg (67-58) for seven innings, allowing four hits, walking one and striking out nine. Overbey struck out three batters in a scoreless eighth inning, and Burch struck out two batters working the ninth.

New Hampshire (55-70), which also shut out Harrisburg in the second game of Tuesday night's doubleheader, extended its season-best scoreless string to 18.2 innings. These are the first back-to-back shutouts for the Fisher Cats since May 30 and 31, 2006.

New Hampshire loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the first inning against Senators starting and losing pitcher Adrian Alaniz (0-5). David Smith hit into a double play, but Scott Campbell, who singled, scored to make it 1-0.

In the bottom of the third inning, J.P. Arencibia hit a two-out single and scored on a Smith double off the wall in right-center field to make it 2-0.

New Hampshire scored its other two runs with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Smith walked and Kyle Phillips followed with his seventh home run onto the access road in right field to put the Fisher Cats up 4-0.

The series with the Senators concludes on Thursday night at 7:05pm. RHP Brandon Magee (6-11, 4.54) goes for the Fisher Cats against Harrisburg RHP Zack Segovia (2-1, 7.57. Radio coverage begins at 6:45pm on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network with Mike Murphy and Bob Lipman.
