Fireworks Added to RailCats Christmas in July Celebration

GARY, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats will give fans two chances to catch the best fireworks show in Northwest Indiana this weekend with the addition of a very special Christmas-themed Fireworks Spectacular on Dollar Monday, July 25, exactly five months before the

Bright red and green flashes of light will illuminate the Northwest Indiana sky after the RailCats take on the Sioux Falls Pheasants at U. S. Steel Yard on Monday, July 25 at 7:10 p.m. Both First Midwest Bank and the Post-Tribune, the co-sponsors of Friday Fireworks at U. S. Steel Yard, are also responsible for the extra-special show on Monday.

Dollar Monday presented by Niemi, Associates also means that this will be the cheapest postgame fireworks spectacular of the year for RailCats fans. When you buy one ticket at regular price, the second is only a buck and dollar hotdogs, pop, programs and popcorn are another added bonus to the festivities.

The RailCats return to U. S. Steel Yard on July 22 for a six-game series jam-packed with giveaways! Glow in the Park Night on Friday, July 22 at 7:10 p.m. features the RailCats Glow in the Dark Baseball Cap Giveaway (first 1,000 fans) courtesy of U. S. Steel Gary Works. Military Night includes free admission for military personnel both current and retired in addition to the RailCats Chest Protector Backpack Giveaway (first 1,000 fans) courtesy of First Midwest Bank and the Post-Tribune. The first 1,500 fans entering U. S. Steel Yard on Sunday, July 24 for the 2:10 p.m. 'Cats game will snag a fan-favorite in the RailCats Beach Towel courtesy of Community Healthcare System and the Times Media Group, and the RailCats will also auction off the pink jerseys worn by the team to benefit the Cancer Resource Centre!
