Kansas City 9, Amarillo 3

Kansas City 1B Kala Kaaihue homered twice and had four RBIs to lead the T-Bones to a 9-3 victory against the Amarillo Sox. After T-Bones CF Keanon Simon scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the first, Kaaihue belted a three-run home run in the same inning to give Kansas City an early 4-0 lead. Kaaihue homered again in the fifth inning, this time of the solo variety, to tally his fourth RBI of the night. T-Bones LF Aharon Eggleston went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, and RF Ray Sadler went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Kansas City starter Kris Johnson tossed seven innings and allowed three runs on six hits to earn the win. Johnson fanned five batters in the game. For the Sox, CF Fehlandt Lentini had a double and two RBIs in the loss.

Gary SouthShore 4, Fort Worth 0

Three Gary SouthShore pitchers combined for a shutout as the RailCats defeated the Fort Worth Cats 4-0. RailCats starting pitcher Alain Quijano pitched seven shutout innings and conceded just two hits to earn the win. Quijano struck out five batters and walked just one in the game. RailCats 1B Mike Rohde had two RBIs. Right fielder Cristian Guerrero and LF Toddric Johnson each doubled, had an RBI and scored a run in the game. For the Cats, LF John Allen had two hits in the loss.

Wichita 8, Shreveport-Bossier 4

The Wichita Wingnuts scored three runs in the seventh inning and three runs in the eighth to take an 8-4 win against the Shreveport-Bossier Captains. Wichita struck first when C Edwin Bellorin hit an RBI single in the top of the second. The Wingnuts added another run in the third frame on 3B Juan Richardson's RBI double. Richardson went 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored. The Captains scored a run in the third, fifth, and sixth inning to take a 3-2 lead, but Wichita responded with three in the seventh and three in the eighth. Shortstop Josh Horn had two RBIs for the Wingnuts, and LF Mike Conroy and CF Brent Clevlen each had an RBI. Wichita starter Junior Guerra earned the win, allowing three runs on six hits in six innings pitched. For the Captains, CF Robert Perry had a double and an RBI in the loss.

St. Paul 3, Sioux Falls 2 (11 Innings)

The St. Paul Saints edged the Sioux Falls Pheasants 3-2 in extra innings. Trailing 2-1, the Saints scored a run in the top of the ninth to keep themselves alive. In the top of the eleventh, Saints CF Jonathan Van Every hit the go-ahead RBI single to give St. Paul a 3-2 lead. Saints C Richard Mercado scored on Van Every's single and also went 2-for-5 at the plate in the game. Saints SS Adam Frost tallied two hits in the game as well. Saints reliever Kyle Foster was credited with the win and allowed zero earned runs in his three innings pitched. Pheasants DH Mark Shorey homered in the loss.
