ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia dropped the series finale to Lakewood, 2-0, on Saturday. Joe Cavallaro hurled 5.2 more effective innings on the hill and allowed just four hits and one run. The SAL All-Star's ERA dipped to 2.02.
ON THE ROAD: Columbia visits Lexington, Kentucky, this weekend just a week and a half after leaving the Bluegrass State. The Fireflies and Legends split a four-game series from June 11-14. Overall, Columbia is 4-3 against Lexington in 2018.
NO Ks: Not a single Columbia batter struck out on Friday. That's the first time that's occurred in franchise history (348 games).

RAPH-TASTIC: Outfielder Raphael Gladu has been one of the best hitters in the league the last month and a half. The Canadian is now hitting .322 over his last 32 games (since May 9). He's hit safely in 28 of those 32 games.
REINFORCEMENTS: Columbia's bullpen has been extremely reliable over the last 13 games

FIREFLIES ALL-STAR RECAP: The Southern Division All-Stars defeated the Northern Division 9-5 in Greensboro on Tuesday.
- For the third straight year (P.J. Conlon - 2016, Merandy Gonzalez - 2017), a Firefly was on the mound to start the South Atlantic League All-Star Game. Joe Cavallaro represented the South Division and tossed the first inning of the game.
- Jeremy Vasquez also inked his name among the star-studded field. The 21-year-old added an insurance run with a solo home run in the ninth inning.
- Stephen Villines and Trey Cobb were impressive out of the bullpen. Villines entered the game with two outs in the seventh inning and struck out the only batter he faced in his outing. Cobb closed the door, recording the final two outs of the game.
