Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Greenville Drive 7-5 Sunday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 1,475. Hagan Owenby got the scoring started early for the Braves with an RBI single in the first inning. The Drive tied the game 1-1 in the top of the second thanks to a solo home run off the bat of Tanner Nishioka (2). Drew Lugbauer doubled home a run in the third giving Rome a 2-1 advantage but Greenville tied the contest in the fifth on Marino Campana's (11) home run. The Drive took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on Isaias Lucena's run scoring base hit but the lead was short lived. Rome posted three runs in the bottom of the inning on Izzy Wilson's (6) 406 foot home run to right for the 5-3 score. In the eighth, Greenville tied the game once again thanks to Jordan Wren's RBI single making it a 5-5 game. Rome retook the lead for good in the bottom of the inning on Riley Delgado's two out two RBI double for the 7-5 final.

Cutter Dyals (1-1) earns the win in relief and Lukas Young (0-3) is tagged with the loss.
