LAST TIME OUT: The Fireflies took a two-games-to-none series lead with a 7-5 victory over Hagerstown on Sunday afternoon. Columbia mashed 10 more hits, three of which belonged to infielder Hansel Moreno. The 21-year-old crushed a two-run homer, scored twice and swiped two bases.

ON A ROLL: Columbia has now won five of its last six games. This is the best stretch of baseball since the Fireflies won six of seven from May 22-30

HIT PARADE: Columbia has tallied 42 hits in the first four games of the road trip. The Fireflies have hit the ball particularly well in the first two games of its series in Hagerstown. Twelve of Columbia's 24 hits in the first two games have been extra-base hits. One more nugget: the Fireflies have tallied 39 baserunners against Hagerstown on Saturday and Sunday.

IMPROVEMENT: Hansel Moreno leads off and starts at second base on Monday for the Fireflies. The infielder was hitting .177 just 24 games into the season. Since June 8, Moreno is hitting .283 (51 games). That's the best average during that span among current Fireflies.

BACK, BACK, BACK...GONE! Pt. I: After Moreno's Sunday homer, the Fireflies have now recorded a homer in six straight games. That's the most consecutive games with a home run in franchise history.

BACK, BACK, BACK...GONE! Pt. II: Columbia has blasted 16 homers over its last 12 games. The Fireflies have 17 in the month of August (16 games). That's second only to Asheville (19 in 17 August games).

WINAKER'S RAMPAGE: The Alamo, California, native went deep in consecutive games (Thurs. @ WV, Sat. @ HAG) for the first time this season and followed that up with a two-run double on Sunday. Winaker has now drilled six homers over his last 12 games. He leads the team with 12 long balls and is one away from tying the franchise mark of 13 set by Dash Winningham and Brandon Brosher in 2017. Check out what Winaker has done this month:

- Winaker in August: .344 (16 GP), 10 R, 6 2B, 6 HR, 17 RBI, .420 OBP

EL CHAPO: Fireflies outfielder Jay Jabs has just posted his best two-game stretch of the season. Jabs followed up his performance on Sunday (3-for-5, 2 doubles, home run, 3 RBI) by reaching base safely three more times on Sunday (two walks, double, two runs scored).
