Asheville, NC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, won 2-1 over the Asheville Tourists on Monday night.

Starting pitcher Aaron Phillips set the tone for the GreenJackets early in the game. His stellar performance through 5 1/3 innings allowed for Augusta to take control in the middle innings. Phillips only allowed two hits while striking out seven Tourists.

In the fifth inning, Manuel Geraldo would give the GreenJackets a 1-0 lead after his RBI single scored Rob Calabrese. Then in the seventh inning, Logan Baldwin hit his sixth home run of the season to put Augusta out in front 2-0. Although the Tourist would score one run in the eighth inning, the GreenJackets would hold on in the ninth inning to win the game 2-1.

Out of the bullpen for the GreenJackets, Jorge Labrador impressed in his first appearance. He went 1 2/3 innings, not giving up a hit, while striking out three batters. He would hand the ball to Camilo Doval in the eighth inning, who would get his eighth save of the season and his first six-out save.
