
Final Regular Season Stingers Game Canceled

WILLMAR, Minn. - Willmar's final regular-season game of the 2012 season against Thunder Bay was canceled Sunday evening due to unplayable field conditions as a result of persistent rain in the area.
The Stingers finished the regular season with a franchise-best overall record of 41-28 and won the second half North Division title with a 21-13 mark to qualify for the 2012 Northwoods League Playoffs. Willmar will host Mankato Monday night, Aug. 13, in the first round of the playoffs at Bill Taunton Stadium at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for the first playoff game in Stingers history can be purchased either online at www.willmarstingers.com, by phone at 320-222-2010, or in person at the Stingers ticket office.
Fans who had tickets to Sunday's regular season game can exchange them next year for an equal-value ticket to any 2013 Stingers regular-season home game based on availability. Barry's Kids' Club Pizza Party has been rescheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. prior to the Stingers' playoff game.
