
Fifth Annual Pink in the Rink Tonight Against Road Warriors

North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays celebrate their fifth annual Pink in the Rink night presented by East Cooper Medical Center and benefiting Susan G. Komen-Lowcountry tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Greenville Road Warriors at the North Charleston Coliseum. Catch all the action live on ESPN Radio 910 and www.stingrayshockey.com. Tonight is the tenth of 17 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season.
The one-night only pink-themed event features exclusive Pink in the Rink game jerseys, pink ice, pink hockey sticks, silent auction, live game-worn jersey auction and free parking. A portion of all the proceeds generated from the auctions, ticket sales, vendor tables and special events will be donated to Susan G. Komen-Lowcountry to help fight breast cancer.
The jerseys will be auctioned off live at the end of the game and the sticks will be added to the silent auction that is taking place in the Season Ticket Holder Lounge during the contest. This season's silent auction features over 90 items including a Washington Capitals jersey signed by NHL superstar Alex Ovechkin and NASCAR tickets!
Guardians of the Ribbon North Carolina will be joining the Stingrays and bringing their pink fire truck! Paul Mitchell the School will dye "Pink Peek a boos" (strand of pink hair) throughout the game for a donation to Susan G. Komen and Carvel Ice Cream will make "Pink Flying Saucer" ice creams with portions of the proceeds going back to Susan G. Komen.
Last season, the Stingrays raised over $40,000 to help fight breast cancer. In the four-year history of the event, the Stingrays have donated over $73,000.
The Stingrays kick off a season-long six-game road trip on Friday, January 28 as they travel to U.S. Bank Arena to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. Visit www.stingrayshockey.com for the latest game notes and radio schedule.
