TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After dropping the opener of this home-and-home series with Kalamazoo, the Cyclones are just one point ahead of the Wings in the North Division standings - meaning Cincinnati needs a win or regulation tie to remain in the second place slot. The 'Clones are 2-2-2-1 against Kalamazoo this season, with both wins coming at U.S. Bank Arena.

SCOUTING THE WINGS: Last night's win over Cincinnati climbs Nick Bootland's club within one point of second place in the North Division standings. Kory Karlander leads the Wings in scoring, posting 40 points (15 goals, 25 assists) in 36 games this year. He also is the team's activeleading scorer against Cincinnati this year - registering 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) in 6 meetings. Former Cyclones netminder Ryan Nie is undefeated in regulation against Cincinnati this season, posting a 4-0-0-1 record. His 1638 minutes-played are second most of any ECHL goaltender in 2010-11.

WEAPONS FROM EVERYWHERE: Of the 20 active skaters on the Cyclones roster, 13 of them have registered multi-point games this season. Brian O'Hanley and Dylan Hunter lead the team in this category, posting five multi-point tilts (although both are currently playing in the AHL with Rochester and Milwaukee). Mathieu Aubin, Dustin Sproat and Matt Pierce are all tied for second-most with four such games this season.

KEEPING IT CLOSE: Cincinnati has found itself in very tight games this season. They have played in an ECHL-high 21 one-goal games. In such situations this year, they have posted a 10-4-7 record. As a frame of reference, the 2009-10 Cyclones had 28 one-goal games in the entire season.

REYNOLDS IS ROLLING: Speaking of Records: Scott Reynolds is also close to surpassing another player on the Franchise Point Leaderboard. He needs just two more tallies to pass Michael Flynn for third on the All-Time list. Reynolds has 136 career-points in Cincinnati.
