Fields named Runner Up for ECHL Goalie of the Month

The ECHL announced today that Gladiators goaltender Sean Fields has been named a runner up for the ECHL Goaltender of the Month award for October. Alaska goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu was named the Goaltender of the Month for October.

Fields posted a 1.44 goals against average and a .950 save percentage to help the Gladiators remain unbeaten through the first month of the season.

The Edmonton, Alberta native recorded a 6-0 shutout at Pensacola making 38 saves in his first start of the season on October 22nd. He made 19 saves in a 4-3 overtime win against Augusta on October 28th.

Fields was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 7th through March 14th last year.

The Gwinnett Gladiators continue the 2005-06 ECHL season on the road as they take on the South Carolina Stingrays in North Charleston on Friday, November 4th at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
