Jeff Dwyer Assigned to Gladiators

Atlanta Gladiators News Release


The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Jeff Dwyer has been assigned to the Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. In a separate transaction, the Gladiators have traded defenseman Ryan Reid to the Toledo Storm for financial considerations.

Dwyer appeared in two games last season with the Gladiators where he accumulated 5 penalty minutes in those contests. He posted 2 assists in 9 games with the Wolves last year during his rookie season.

The Greenwich, Connecticut native was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 6th round, #178 overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Reid appeared in one game with the Gladiators where he picked up 5 penalty minutes.

Dwyer should be available for the Gladiators 7:05 p.m. tilt in South Carolina on Friday night.
