Trovato added to Titans roster

TRENTON, NJ (November 3, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that they have agreed to terms with forward Peter Trovato for the 2005-06 season.

Trovato, 24, comes to Titans after appearing in three games with the Adirondack Frostbite of the United Hockey League. Prior to beginning his professional career, Trovato played four seasons (2002-05) at the University of Massachusetts of the Hockey East, where the 6'0", 200-pound forward scored 13 goals and added 33 assists in 145 games.

Trovato was also honored by the Boston Celtics as a local hero, as part of the team's "Heroes Among Us" program. The North Attleboro, MA native received the honor having founded the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund, a college scholarship program for kids of Massachusetts' soldiers who have died in Iraq or Afghanistan. While balancing his academic schedule and the commitment of being a Division I college hockey player at UMass, Trovato has managed to raise $50,000 through this program.

After finishing is senior season with the Minutemen, Trovato signed on with the Johnstown Chiefs, contributing 8 points (1g, 7a) in 13 games.

In a separate transaction defenseman Likit Andersson has been placed on waivers. A nine-year professional, Andersson notched one assist in 4 games for the Titans this season.
