Feliz Fills Roster and Bullpen Spot

Dayton, OH - RHP Rainer Feliz has been added to the Dragons active roster to fill the void left in the Dayton bullpen following the departure of Jeff Stevens to the Cleveland Indians organization. Stevens was the player to be named later completing the deal that sent Brandon Phillips to Cincinnati on April 7th. Feliz, was signed as a non drafted free agent by the Reds out of Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic in November of 2000. The right hander has had one prior stint in a Dragons uniform, appearing in six games in 2004, three as a starting pitcher. Feliz compiled a 0-2 record with a 10.19 ERA in 17.2 innings of work. He spent two seasons (2001-2002) with the DSL Reds and one with the GCL Reds (2003) before joining the Dragons in '04. After his six appearances in Dayton, Feliz finished the 2004 season with the Billings Mustangs of the Pioneer League. He pitched in 2005 for the Mustangs as well. The righty comes to Dayton from Reds extended spring training in Sarasota, Florida. The Dragons roster is now full at 25 players.
