Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - As part of the Club's ongoing growth and development objectives, CF Montréal announced Monday its Scouting and Development Centre has renewed its partnership agreements with both FC Loro and the Saint-Lazare/Hudson Soccer Club for a three-year period.
In doing so, FC Loro and the Saint-Lazare/Hudson Soccer Club join FC Laval and the Brossard Soccer Association in their commitment to this revised consultative partnership allowing participating clubs to directly benefit from CFMTL's top-level resources. FC Laval was the first amateur club to join the Scouting and Development Centre's revised format on September 24, while the Brossard Soccer Association followed suit on October 8.
"Our intention with this CIP program is to work with clubs that share the same values, where a player-centred approach is taken and where development is the priority. FC Loro and the Saint-Lazare/Hudson Soccer Club share these values, and we want to support them in continuing to create this type of environment for their players," said CF Montréal Academy Director of Youth Development Marinos Papageorgopoulos.
"Solidifying a unique partnership in the region of the Laurentians with CF Montréal is a milestone that we can all be proud of. We truly believe that CF Montréal's high levels of professionalism will continue to enhance all the current player and coach development programs we offer," noted FC Loro Sporting Director Massimo Di Ioia.
"FC Loro has undergone significant change over the last year and the partnership with CF Montréal will continue to make a positive impact on developing the game in the communities of both Lorraine and Rosemère," added FC Loro President John Paul Moutinho.
"We are very proud of our relationship with CF Montréal which made us the first amateur soccer club in 2019 to have the CIP within its club. With this newly signed collaborative agreement, CF Montréal will have an even greater presence in our club, helping us to provide one of the highest levels of development for our young athletes. Our club has made great strides in the past few years and with CF Montréal's help, we see great things ahead for our club, our community and our athletes," stated Saint-Lazare/Hudson Soccer Club President Alain Beaudoin.
The CF Montréal Academy developed a revamped strategy aiming to leverage synergies and a more sustained collaborative relationship with the soccer associations across the province. Partner clubs will benefit from innovative, privileged, and strategic access to the expertise of the Academy's technical staff, both at the sporting and management levels.
Launched July 2, 2019, the Scouting and Development Centre is a high-performance development and identification program developed by the Club's Academy and its educators. The initiative includes visits with partner clubs and is part of a broader desire to share the Academy's knowledge, training, and methodologies in order to strengthen ties with the Quebec soccer community.
