
Fan-Friendly Promotions Planned for 2011

Headlining the Wingnuts' promotional schedule are four terrific guest appearances, beginning with Myron Noodleman on Friday June 11th. "The hippest nerd in da biz" returns to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium courtesy of Baker University and Wendy's. June 11th is also the conclusion of the Wichita Riverfest's 40th anniversary, so fans can stay for a fireworks spectacular following the 6:05 p.m. game versus Sioux City.
The world famous ZOOperstars bring their "wild-n-crazy entertainment show" to Wichita on Friday, July 22nd when the Wingnuts host the El Paso Diablos. More information on the ZOOperstars and their sports-themed characters can be found at www.zooperstars.com
When the Wingnuts face the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Wednesday, July 27th, fans of all ages can meet the timeless storybook characters Curious Geroge and Clifford the Big Red Dog, courtesy of KPTS.
Breakin' B-Boy McCoy and his dancing act visit Wichita for a second straight year on Friday, August 12th during Day 14 of the 77th annual National Baseball Congress World Series.
The Wingnuts host Tribute to Armed Forces Night during their Memorial Day game on Monday, May 30th versus Fort Worth. The Wingnuts will wear camouflage jerseys while a special video presentation honoring those who have served in the United States Armed Forces will be shown after the game.
On Friday, June 3rd, the Wingnuts play their inaugural regular season game against their in-state rivals, the Kansas City T-Bones. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Wingnuts pen schedule, courtesy of Emprise Bank. June 3rd is also the opening night of the 40th annual Riverfest. A post-game fireworks spectacular will follow the 6:05 p.m. game at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
The Wingnuts pay homage to Snoop Dog with Hip-Hop Night on Thursday, June 23rd. Goodwill Industries will also be hosting a clothing drive that night as the Wingnuts take on the Fort Worth Cats.
Allegiant Air and the Wingnuts will be giving away free flights to Los Angeles, CA on Friday, July 1st versus the T-Bones.
The following night, the Wingnuts host 'Salute to America's Heroes', honoring the local men and women of Wichita who put their lives on the line everyday to protect our great city. A fireworks show will follow the game between Wichita and Kansas City, courtesy of Kansas One Call and KAKE-TV.
The Wingnuts host their third annual 'Bark in the Park' on Sunday, July 10th. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, courtesy of All Paws Center and Newman University. Fans can receive discounted tickets for the game with a dog food donation.
Saturday, July 23rd is the Wingnuts' fourth annual 'Pack the Park' night, presented by the University of Phoenix - Wichita Campus. A fireworks show will follow the 7:05 p.m. game between the Wingnuts and El Paso Diablos.
Thursday, July 28th versus Kansas City is Cancer Awareness Night. The event is meant to help raise awareness of all forms of cancer. More details are to come involving LiveStrong and other local cancer programs.
Local radio personality "The Hitman" will be immortalized in bobblehead form on Thursday, August 18th, courtesy of Power 93.9. The Wingnuts host the T-Bones that night, and will also be hosting their "Back to School Bash" College Fair.
Fans can remember the 2011 Wingnuts by attending the Friday, August 19th contest versus the Gary SouthShore RailCats. Fans will receive a set of Wingnuts trading cards upon entering the stadium that night.
Sunday, August 21st is Little League Night. The Wingnuts will be recognizing all of the Little League teams in the Wichita and surrounding areas before taking on the RailCats at 5:05 p.m.
The Wingnuts' 2011 home schedule concludes on Friday, August 26th with Fan Appreciation Night. While the Wingnuts battle the Amarillo Sox in what could be a pivotal game in the pennant race, Allegiant Air will also be giving away free flights to Phoenix, AZ.
The Wingnuts have once again partnered with several local businesses to offer five 'buy-in' nights where fans can visit each establishment and receive a complimentary general admission ticket. The vouchers may be upgraded into a Lower Box or Upper Box seat at a discount rate.
