Gary SouthShore 2, Winnipeg 1

Gary SouthShore gave up nine hits, but Winnipeg left six runners on base and was only able to muster one run in a loss. The RailCats scored both their runs in the top of the seventh inning on Toddric Johnson and Kyle Haines RBI singles. Jack Frawley got the win for Gary SouthShore by giving up just the lone run in six innings on the mound. David Nathanson shut down Winnipeg in the bottom of the ninth to earn the save. 2B Price Kendall was 4-4 for Winnipeg in the loss.

Wichita 4, Lincoln 2 (10 innings)

Jorge Cortes hit a two-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to lift Wichita to an extra-inning victory. Lincoln surrendered just one earned run, but three errors in the field cost the Saltdogs. Paul Koss got the loss for giving up the two runs in the extra inning, while Cephas Howard picked up the win for closing the final inning. Curt Smith was 2-5 with a double and an RBI for Lincoln in the loss.

Sioux Falls 10, Fort Worth 6

Sioux Falls scored eight runs in the seventh and eighth innings to put away Fort Worth. Fort Worth out-hit Sioux Falls 13-12, but left 12 runners on base and failed to take advantage. Reggie Abercrombie was 3-5 with two RBIs and his third home run of the season for Sioux Falls. Ryan Fleckenstein got the win in relief work, and Nick DeBarr got the loss, also in a relieving role.

El Paso 5, Amarillo 4

Pitcher Ray Siva struck out two batters and had no problem shutting the book on Amarillo in the ninth inning. El Paso took a one-run lead in the sixth inning on a Stephen Douglas RBI single and never looked back. Wardell Starling got the win for going 7.1 innings for El Paso, while Colin Allen gave up five runs on 12 hits and got the loss. Chris Nash and Lee Cruz both hit home runs for El Paso in the win.

Grand Prairie 13, Shreveport-Bossier 12

John Alonso drove in David Espinosa on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to give Grand Prairie a walk-off win. Grand Prairie led by two entering the eighth inning, but a three-run stanza for Shreveport-Bossier forced the last-minute heroics by the AirHogs. Grand Prairie out-hit Shreveport-Bossier 19-12, but also committed four errors that gave the Captains two unearned runs. 3B Cesar Nicholas was 2-5 with a home run and four RBIs for the AirHogs.

St. Paul 14, Kansas City 9

St. Paul and Kansas City combined for 37 hits in an offensive explosion, but St. Paul was able to pull out the win by scoring 12 runs in the final five innings. Brandon Tripp and Jonathan Van Every both homered for St. Paul, and Jonathan Jaspe and Ray Sadler each had a home run for Kansas City. LF Shane Costa was 5-6 with two RBIs for St. Paul. Alberto Rolon got the win and Mike Rocco got the loss in the offensive exhibit.
