Fan Appreciation Weekend kicks off Wednesday

FLORENCE, SC – The Pee Dee Pride will hold a "Meet the Pride" Party at Red Bone Alley this Wednesday, October 7 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

This event will kick off the Pride's Fan Appreciation Week, which will continue during the team's first two games over the weekend. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the Pride players, staff and mascot Paws, and be able to get autographs and pictures. In addition, there will be games for kids, and Pepsi will provide free samples of the new Pepsi Blue drink.

At 6:30, there will be a special entrance by a skydiver, who will present a Pride jersey to the captain of the 2002-2003 squad.

Fan Appreciation Week will continue on Friday, October 11 when the Pride host the South Carolina Stingrays in the season opener at 7:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Pride logo sticker. There will also be great prizes given out to fans throughout the night.

On Saturday, October 12 prior to the Pride's game with the Columbia Inferno, the Florence Civic Center parking lot will host a giant tailgate party from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. There will be inflatable games for the kids, music, 1,000 free hot dogs from IGA and W. Lee Flowers, and free drinks courtesy of Pepsi of Florence. Also, 5,000 Pride logo stickers will be given out at the doors.
