
Fallon Recalled, Hogs Home Tonight And On XM Radio Later This Month

Rockford, Ill- When the IceHogs leave the MetroCentre tonight, they'll hope to still be traveling in the opposite direction as their visitors, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
The Hogs (28-19-2-3 - 61 points, third in West Division) have won five of their last six games and have earned points in nine of 10. They've also picked up a point in all six matchups (5-0-0-1) with Grand Rapids (21-26-0-1 - 43 points, seventh in North Division), which has lost six straight overall.
The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans 21-and over will receive an IceHogs glass mug courtesy of Bud Light. All high school and college students with a valid student ID can purchase the best available seat for just $10 at the MetroCentre's Box Office up to one hour prior to the game with the WXRX Student Rush program.

Those in attendance can expect a nail-biter as, despite the Hogs' dominance of the teams' first six meetings, five games have been decided by just one goal. The teams will wrap up their eight-game season set at the Big Orange Box on Monday, Feb. 15.
Tonight's matchup is the second in a home-and-home series. The IceHogs prevailed 3-2 Saturday night at the Van Andel Arena behind two goals by Akim Aliu.
The rookie right winger gave the Hogs a 2-1 lead 5:22 into the second period before scoring the game-winner on a penalty shot with 2:35 left in regulation. Joe Fallon stopped 31 of 33 Griffins shots to get the win.
The Hogs won all four Van Andel tilts, and won the last one at the MetroCentre, 5-2 on Saturday, Jan. 23. After tonight's game, the Hogs hit the road for games in Cleveland against the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday and Saturday.

GOALIE FALLON EARNS FIRST RECALL TO BLACKHAWKS
Rockford, Ill. - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Stan Bowman announced Wednesday that the Blackhawks have recalled goalie Joe Fallon, Additionally, goalie Alec Richards and defenseman Joe Charlebois have been recalled to the Rockford IceHogs announced General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard. Fallon, 25, is making his first trip to Chicago after playing 26 games with the Rockford IceHogs this season. He carries a 2.64 goals-against average, a save percentage of.911, and a 13-9-1 record. Richards, 22, is 3-2-0 in six games with Rockford in his first professional season. He has a 3.12 goals-against average and a.895 save percentage. In 21 games with the Toledo Walleye, he's posted a record of 15-5-3, a save percentage of. 893 and a 3.40 goals-against average. This is Charlebois' first stint in Rockford in the 2009-10 season. He played thirteen games with the IceHogs last season, recording two assists. He's appeared in 42 games with the Toledo Walleye this season, recording 13 points (1g-12a). XM SATELLITE RADIO TO CARRY ICEHOGS GAME ON FEBRUARY 25
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-The American Hockey League announced today that 12 games are scheduled to be heard live on XM Satellite Radio on their all-hockey NHL Home Ice channel later this month.
Included in the 12 games is Rockford's game on Thursday, Feb. 24 when they travel to Milwaukee to take on the Admirals at 7 p.m.
XM, which has carried select AHL regular-season, playoff and all-star action on NHL Home Ice since 2006, will begin a two-week stretch of AHL coverage on Tuesday, Feb. 16, with a battle between the Worcester Sharks and the Springfield Falcons.
