Falcons Sign Prosofsky

November 8, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. – The Taylor Cup Champion Fresno Falcons have signed center Tyler Prosofsky, plugging a hole left by the season-ending knee injury to Steve Lowe. Prosofsky, wearing number 18, will take the ice tonight with Fresno as they battle the Bakersfield Condors in the first of a two-game set.

Prosofsky played for a brief time with the Idaho Steelheads during his rookie campaign before moving up to the International and American Hockey Leagues where he spent parts of three seasons. The native of Saskatoon, Sask., was drafted twice in the National Hockey League. He was taken by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, and when he did not sign a contract was selected again in the fifth round of the 1996 draft by the Vancouver Canucks.

The Falcons play the Condors tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans at tonight's contest will receive a free Greg Spenrath t-shirt while the first 2,000 tomorrow night will receive a Spenrath bobblehead. Tickets are still available for both games at the Selland Arena box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
