Bowtell Activated, Walby Placed on Injured Reserve

BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today center Cody Bowtell (BOE-tell) has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve. Sea Wolves right wing Steffon Walby (STEFF-in WAHL-bee) has been placed on 7-day injured reserve.

Bowtell, 28, returns to the line-up after taking a Dental Admissions Test last week in Calgary, Alberta. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Wainwright, Alberta has played eight games this season, collecting six goals and four assists for 10 points.

Walby, 29, is tied for the East Coast Hockey League lead with 15 assists and 22 points. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Lodi, Wisconsin also has seven goals, including three shorthanded and three game-winning tallies. Walby was named the Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Month for October, after posting five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in eight games.

The Sea Wolves (8-3-0) will try to improve their best-ever start tonight, as they host the defending Kelly Cup Champion Greenville Grrrowl (5-3-2) at 7:35 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Tonight, all military receive two tickets for the price of one.
