ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades (4-4-3) fell to the Columbus Cottonmouths (6-3-1) 3-2 in front of 5,740 at TECO Arena on Friday night. Columbus forward Brent Cullaton had a hat trick and scored the game winning goal with :29 seconds remaining in the game.

The Cottonmouths struck first on a backhand shot off the stick of forward Brent Cullaton at the :50 mark of the first period. The Everblades then came back and tied the contest at 1-1 after defenseman Brian Goudie rifled a slap shot inside the post on the power play at the 14:43 mark of the period. Forwards Ryan Murphy and Keith Anderson picked up the assists on Goudie's second tally of the season.

The Cottonmouths then took a 2-1 after Brent Cullaton registered his second goal of the night at 7:05 of the third period. Florida then made it 2-2 in the third period after recently reassigned defenseman Ed Hill skated down the left wing and tucked the puck inside the far post. However, with just :29 seconds remaining in the game, Columbus forward Brent Cullaton notched his third goal of the game after he snapped a high shot over the glove of Florida netminder Rob Zepp.

Florida goaltender Rob Zepp (4-2-2) stopped 22 of 25 shots he faced while Columbus netminder Matus Koster (3-1-0) stopped 33 of 35 shots. The Everblades were 2 for 8 on the power play while the Cottonmouths were 1 for 3.

Florida returns home on Saturday, November 9th to battle the Columbus Cottonmouths. The puck drops at 7:30 PM.
