
Falcons Host Devils Tonight

The Springfield Falcons and Lowell Devils meet for the ninth time this season when they battle at the MassMutual Center on Friday night. The Falcons are 4-4-0-0 against the Devils this season with Springfield winning two of the last three head-to-head meetings.
Center Ryan Potulny leads Springfield in scoring against Lowell this year with six goals and one assist for seven points in six games played. Rob Schremp leads the Falcons in assists against the Devils this year with five helpers in seven games. Goaltender Devan Dubnyk has a record of 4-2-0 with a 2.18 goals against average and .914 save percentage in six games against Lowell this year.
Vladimir Zharkov (3-4-7) and Pascal Rheaume (2-5-7) lead Lowell in scoring against Springfield this year with seven points each. Zharkov is tied with Matt Halischuk and Nicklas Bergfors for the team lead in goals against the Falcons this year with three.
The Falcons head into Friday's contest 3-1-1-0 in their last five games. Springfield most recently defeated the Portland Pirates 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday night at the MassMutual Center. Cody Wild netted the game-winner in the extra session, while Ryan Potulny, Gilbert Brule and Shane Willis also scored for the Falcons. Charles Linglet and Rob Schremp also chipped in with two assists each, while goaltender Dany Sabourin stopped 30 of 33 shots on goal for the win.
The Devils head into Springfield battling for playoff positioning in the Atlantic Division with a record of 27-23-2-5 good for 61 points and a fourth place tie with the Worcester Sharks. Lowell lost in overtime to Worcester on Wednesday night by a score of 4-3 after the Devils beat the Sharks 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
FALCONS PLAYER MOVEMENT: The Falcons announced Thursday that they have recalled defenseman Ryan Constant from their ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder. Constant has spent time with both the Falcons and Thunder this season. In 38 games with Stockton, he has registered four goals and four assists for eight points and 67 penalty minutes. Constant has also appeared in six games with Springfield this season collecting one assist and four penalty minutes.
The Falcons announced Monday that they have assigned defenseman Sebastien Bisaillon to their ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder. Bisaillon has split the season between the Falcons and Thunder. In 31 games with the Falcons, Bisaillon has scored five goals and added seven assists for 12 points and 21 penalty minutes. In 10 games with the Thunder, he has totaled one goal and three assists four points and six penalty minutes.
FALCONS NOTES:
Falcons forward Charles Linglet has recorded at least a point in three of the four games he has played since joining the Falcons on February 20. Linglet has one goal and three assists with Springfield since being reassigned to the Falcons by the Peoria Rivermen.
Shane Willis has back-to-back multi-point games collecting two goals and two assists in his last two games played. Willis played in his 300th career AHL game on February 25 against Portland.
Rob Schremp has recorded at least a point in three straight games collecting one goal and three assists in that span.
DEVILS NOTES:
Nicklas Bergfors is currently on a seven-game scoring streak collecting four goals and five assists in that span.
Rookie Michael Swift has goals in two straight games entering tonight's contest. Swift is tied with Matt Halischuk for second on the Devils in rookie scoring. Vladimir Zharkov leads all Lowell rookies in scoring with 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 47 games.
