Milwaukee beat Quad City 3-2 on Friday night at The Bradley Center. The loss was the first regulation defeat for the Flames since February 6th. It ended a stretch in which the Flames went 6-0-1-0 in seven games. John Vigilante recorded his first goal as Flame in the loss and assisted on the other Flames tally, a late goal by Aki Seitsonen.

The Admirals took a 2-0 lead on first period goals by Patric Hornqvist and Jed Ortmeyer. The first goal was scored when Cal O'Reilly deflected a centering feed from James Sixsmith to Hornqvist who was waiting at the right wing post to slam the puck home. The Admirals added a shorthanded tally when O'Reilly tipped a puck to Jed Ortmeyer in the neutral ice. Ortmeyer skated around Anders Eriksson and muscled his way into the Quad City zone. He then lifted a shot past Leland Irving to open a two-goal lead for the Admirals.

The Flames sliced into the Admirals lead with a power-play mark at 4:01 of the second period. John Vigilante scored his first goal as a Flame on the man advantage following a feed from Kyle Greentree. Just 42 seconds later, the Admirals scored to re-open a two-goal edge. Hugh Jessiman powered down right wing and around a Flames defender. He found Geoff Peters on the doorstep. Peters jammed the puck home for his fourth goal of the year. The teams skated scoreless through the remaining 15:17 of the middle frame as Milwaukee carried a 3-1 edge to the dressing room after two periods.

Aki Seitsonen netted the only goal of the closing frame when he scored on a goal-mouth scramble with 2:06 remaining. The Flames put together a close rally but could not net the equalizer in their first regulation loss since early February.

The Quad City Flames host Houston on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The National Guard Chopper built by Orange County Choppers will be on display. The first 1,500 fans (age 12 and under) will receive Dr. Seuss Hats featuring the Flames logo.
