Falcons Fall To Senators 4-2

The Springfield Falcons lost to the Binghamton Senators 4-2 at the Broome County Civic Center in Binghamton, NY on Saturday night.

The Senators built a 2-0 lead in the first period when Drew Fata scored at 5:11, followed by Derek Couture at 8:44 putting Binghamton on top by two. The Falcons cut their deficit to 2-1 at 11:28 of the opening period when Theo Peckham scored his sixth goal of the year.

After a scoreless second period, Coutureadded his second marker of the game at 9:32 of the third period regaining Binghamton's two-goal lead, but Springfield's Bryan Lerg once again pulled the Falcons to within a single goal at 3-2 with his ninth goal on the campaign at 13:51 of the final frame.

Binghamton's Greg Mauldin added the insurance empty net goal in the game's final minute capping off a Senators' victory.
