Crunch Sign Defenseman Johann Kroll

Syracuse, NY (January 31, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Johann Kroll to a professional tryout contract.

Kroll, 24, has appeared in 40 games with South Carolina (ECHL) this season, tallying one goal, 21 assists and 31 penalty minutes. He has also skated in two games with Hershey this year, collecting two penalty minutes.

A native of Plymouth, Minnesota, Kroll participated as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets at the annual prospects tournament in Traverse City, Michigan prior to the start of the season.

The Crunch's next game is Saturday, January 31 as they take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
