Montreal, August 31, 2004 - Rookie return specialist Ezra Landry was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time in five games today.

Landry was honoured after he made a spectacular 120-yard missed field goal return for a touchdown which clinched the Alouettes' ninth win of the season last Thursday. Landry's missed field goal return is the longest in the history of the Alouettes and the sixth longest in CFL history. He also returned four punts for 29 yards and three kickoffs for 44 yards against Winnipeg.

In five games this season, he has returned 29 punts for 272 yards and eight kickoffs for 144 yards and he has returned two field goals for 230 yards and two touchdowns. In his first career game, Landry returned a missed field goal on 110 yards for a touchdown and was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Landry joined the Alouettes for the third game of the season and later missed three more games because of a knee injury.

Originally from New Orleans in Louisiana, Landry played college football at Southern. The 5'4'' kick and punt returner also had tryouts with the New Orleans Saints and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.
