Extra Innings Battle Ends in Cyclones Favor

Aberdeen, MD - For the first time all season, the Aberdeen IronBirds played a 10th inning on Wednesday night. They ultimately fell to the Brooklyn Cyclones 2-1. Connor Gillispie, Kyle Stowers, and Jake Lyons all made their professional debuts in highlight nights.

BIG MOMENTS

Bottom of the 1st: Kyle Stowers, the 71st overall selection in the 2019 draft, had his first hit as a professional.

Top of the 4th: Joe Genord hit a solo homer, the only run Brooklyn would score until the 10th

Bottom of the 5th: Aberdeen tied the game when Andrew Fregia doubled, and later scored on an error

Extras: Brooklyn scored the free man on second on a Sac bunt and then Sac Fly to take a one run lead. Aberdeen stranded the game tying run on third when the bases were loaded.
