HOME SWEET HOME: The Express play the third game of an eight game homestand tonight vs. the Midland RockHounds, the first 3,000 fans will receive an Express Coffee Mug courtesy of Dell. It's also $1 hot dog and soda night tonight. Tomorrow is "Two for Tuesday," with $2 popcorn and sodas all night. Wednesday the Express welcome the San Antonio Missions to town for the I-35 Series. The first 3,000 fans will receive Express Travel Bags courtesy of Farmers Insurance. "Thirsty Thursday" and "Fireworks Friday" get the weekend started right, and Maxwell Automotive "Used Car Night" ends the homestand on Saturday. Seven lucky fans will drive home in a new car that night, well....new to them.

ARM FARM: Six members of the Astros current 12-man pitching rotation are former Express Alumni, and that's not including Roy Oswalt and Carlos Hernandez, who are both on the disabled list. Brad Lidge, Brandon Puffer, Kirk Saarloos, Tim Redding, Mike Gallo and Jeriome Robertson have all played important roles in the Astros drive for a pennant. Position players Morgan Ensberg, Eric Bruntlett and Dave Matranga are also on the Astros current 25-man roster. Ensberg is hitting over .300 for the year and Matranga hit a home run in his first big league at-bat.

Join the Round Rock Express on Thursday, August 14th for the 1st Annual Express Charity Bowling Tournament, benefiting the Williamson County YMCA. The tournament will be a short, lunch time event (11:30 am - 1:00 pm) at Interstate Lanes in Round Rock. A $50 entry fee gets you a free lunch, t-shirt, shoe rental, two free Express tickets and the chance to bowl with an Express player or coach. The tournament is on a first-come, first serve basis and the field is limited to 100 bowlers.
