Sox are Swept in Omaha

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped their 3rd straight game to division leading Omaha on Sunday, 12-5. Sox starter Scott Elarton got rocked for 11 runs all earned in 4 innings of work. The offense got started late, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 12 run deficit. Luke Allen and Rene Reyes each chipped in their 5th home runs of the year and Clint Barmes led all Sox hitters with 2 hits. The Sox begin a 3 game series in Iowa on Monday evening with Chris Michalak (6-7, 4.83) going for the Sox against Alan Benes (5-1, 4.44) of the Cubs.
