Sioux City-----Peter Barrows one-out double in the seventh inning scored Austin Gallagher from first base as the Explorers defeated Gary SouthShore here Tuesday 5-4. Gallagher had led off the seventh with a single off losing pitcher Alain Quijano.

The RailCats took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning only to have the Explorers score single runs in the fouth and fifth to tie the game at 2-2.

The Explorers would take a 4-2 lead in sixth on a two-run double by Alberto Espinosa.

However, Gary SouthShore would come back and tie the game at 4-4 with two runs in the top of the seventh.

That set up the winning run for the Explorers in the bottom of the seventh as the Explorers evened the series at a game apiece.

Richard Salazar pitched seven inning for the Explorers to pick up his sixth win of the season. Jimmer Kennedy pitched the eighth and ninth innings to record his first save of the year.

The final game of the three-game series will be Wednesday at Lewis and Clark Park with game time 7:05pm.
