Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

Amarillo- Though managing seven hits the AirHogs were only able to get one across in a 5-1 loss to the Amarillo Sox Tuesday night at Sox Stadium. The only run came in the top of the eighth but it was too little, too late for the AirHogs. This is the second straight loss against Amarillo and the AirHogs can only hope to take the next two games and split the series. The solo run was scored by Brandon Pinckney who was 2-for-4 in the game. Driving him in was Ryan Pineda who was also 2-for-4 Tuesday night.

Receiving the loss for the AirHogs was Brandon Bargas who allowed five runs on six hits in 5.2 innings of work. Bargas struck out three Sox players and only walked two. Taking over for 1.1 innings was Jakob Cunningham who allowed no hits, and no runs. Closing the game was Boomer Potts who threw a perfect ninth inning allowing no runs, no hits and struck out one.

Game 3 between the Amarillo Sox and Grand Prairie AirHogs will be Wednesday night at 7:05 P.M. at Sox Stadium.
