St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night shall keep the St. Paul Saints promotions from going on during the upcoming homestand. Just like the mailman we always deliver. We've scoured Craigslist to find some great giveaways, but for all of you hipsters out there we'll turn those items into instant vintage classics.
The homestand runs from June 24-26 as the Saints take on the Lincoln Saltdogs and it gets started on Monday, June 24 at 7:05 p.m. Those skinny jeans you wear, that iPod you listen to your music on or those glasses with no lenses you continue to sport are all items the cool kids wore yesterday. Today they are considered instant vintage on our Hipster Night. We pump the ballpark full of indie-rock music, discuss the great works of Alan Ginsburg and toss around witty banter. While the hipsters will enjoy our PBR's, the rest of our fans can enjoy dollar beers all night long on Buck Beer Night.
Whether you're looking for a house, a job, an item for sale or even a lost encounter Tuesday, June 25 at 7:05 p.m. is the perfect night to come to a game as we give away 1,000 free Craigslist items. Be one of the first 1,000 fans in line and who knows what type of item you will receive. It could be a piece of jewelry, sporting event tickets or even Juicy Couture Pink Pants (currently going for $30), but don't worry we didn't grab the kidney that was for sale. Also, "Let's Get Ready To Rumble" as the Minnesota Boxing Hall of Fame gets set to introduce their 2013 inductees. The popular Food Truck Tuesday rolls on with Anchor Fish & Chips, Nate Dogs and A CupCake Social.
The final game of the homestand is an afternoon affair at 1:05 p.m. as we Help Save the USPS, through the Power of Smile, on the 238th Anniversary of its founding presented by Delta Dental. Put away your cell phones and tablets, you can't send messages to your neighbor via text or instant message. Today we write good old-fashioned letters, with a stamp on the top right of the envelope and we mail them out. It's just like when you were a kid and had your very own penpal. It's the craziest tailgate party of the year on Walser Wednesday with free hot dogs in the parking lot before the game.
For the second straight homestand the Saints are in town for just three days, but that's the perfect amount of time for our hipster friends because if something is around too long then it becomes played out. We will do our civic duty and try to save the USPS, but you can really help them out by mailing your Craigslist items to someone who needs it more than you do. It's the Saints final homestand of June as summer officially gets rolling.
