
Everblades Post Perfect Week, Extend Winning Streak To Five

Florida is undefeated over the last two weeks. The short layoff with the ECHL All Star Game didn't hurt the Everblades momentum as they won a pair of games over the Gwinnett Gladiators. Florida has beaten Gwinnett now four times in a row to improve their record to 4-1-1 on the season with eight more meetings remaining.
The Everblades look to keep their season-high five-game win streak in tact this week as they tangle with the Trenton Devils for three games in Germain Arena. Wednesday night, the Everblades and Devils meet for the third time this season and first time-ever in Germain Arena in the regular season. It's another Wet Wednesday - $2.00 Budweiser domestic drafts. The Everblades and Devils will also play Friday and Saturday in Germain Arena with all three games facing off at 7:30 p.m.
LAST WEEK
Friday, January 22 vs Gwinnett, Germain Arena, 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Despite falling down 1-0, 24-seconds into the game the Florida Everblades exploded for three goals to ultimately beat the Gwinnett Gladiators for the third straight time in the series 3-2 in regulation. Forward Chris Capraro was the hero scoring a goal and an assist, including the game winner, for the 'Blades. Goaltender Barry Brust stopped 31 shots to record his fifth straight win.
Saturday, January 23 vs Gwinnett, Germain Arena, 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Florida improved to 2-0-0 at home versus Gwinnett and 4-1-1 overall with their 5-1 victory over the Gladiators Saturday night. Milan Gajic, playing in just his 10th game due to injury, led the way for Florida with a goal and two assists. Mike Bayrack scored two goals, while Ross Carlson chipped in a goal and an assist to pace the Everblades.
THIS WEEK
Wednesday, January 27 vs Trenton, Germain Arena, 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Florida and Trenton will meet a total of five times in a 15-day span. The Everblades beat the Devils in back-to-back games on January 15 and 16 in Trenton. Florida won their second straight shootout on Jan. 15 in the first matchup between the two clubs. Kevin Baker and Ross Carlson accounted for the shootout tallies, while Barry Brust stopped four of five shooters to secure the victory, 4-3.
Friday, January 29 vs Trenton, Germain Arena, 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: In a close tight-checking affair, the Everblades knocked off the Devils 3-1 on Jan. 16 in the Sun National Bank Center. Jordan Morrison scored the game winner on a five-on-three power play two minutes into the third period. Mike Bayrack and Mathieu Roy scored the Everblade tallies. Barry Brust stopped 25 of 26 shots in the win for Florida while David Caruso took the loss for Trenton.
Saturday, January 30 vs Trenton, Germain Arena, 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades complete their five-game homestand with the final three meetings of the regular season with the Trenton Devils. Florida is a perfect 2-0-0 against Trenton this season, with Kevin Baker leading all scorers in the series with a goal and three assists. After these three games, the Everblades will take to the road with a pair of games in Charlotte, North Carolina against the Checkers.

Brust extended his personal winning streak (6) and team-winning streak (5) this week with a pair of wins over the Gwinnett Gladiators. The Swan River, Manitoba native made 31 saves in the Everblades 3-2 win over the Gladiators on Friday. Saturday, Brust stopped 28 of 29 shots in the 'Blades 5-1 win over Gwinnett.

After missing 32 games due to injury suffered on November 4 in Charlotte, the Burnaby British Columbia native came back like he never missed a beat. Gajic chipped in an assist in his first game back on Friday in the 3-2 victory. On Saturday, the fifth-year pro tallied a three-point effort with a goal and two assists and was +4 in the 5-1 Everblades win.

Florida enjoyed great crowds in Germain Arena in their return home after a month on the road...The Everblades welcomed their second largest crowd of the season on Friday (6,345) in a 3-2 win...Saturday (6,004) Florida and Gwinnett met for the sixth time this season and the 'Blades knocked off the Gladiators for the fourth straight time.
The Everblades have been involved in an ECHL high 12 overtime/ shootouts this season...The 'Blades are 2-2 in overtime and 4-4 in shootouts
#6 Brad Zanon leads the Everblades in minor penalties (27) and is ranked second in the ECHL...He also ranks 4th in penalty minutes amongst ECHL defenseman
