
Everblades juggle roster before road trip

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Anders Strome has been placed on the 30-day injured reserve list and that the club has signed defenseman John Adams to a contract. As per club policy the injury was not disclosed.
Strome, 24, suffered an injury during Florida's 5-4 overtime win on November 8 against South Carolina and was placed on the IR today. Stome becomes the fourth Everblades player currently on the IR. The Everblades acquired Strome in a trade with the Long Beach Ice Dogs on November 1 and he has scored one goal in three games with Florida. Overall in 2005-06 the Winnipeg, Manitoba native has two points in seven ECHL games.
Last season Strome notched 57 points (35g, 22a) in 60 regular season games, and chipped in five points in five playoff games with the Lubbock Cotton Kings. He split the 2002-03 season between the Wichita Thunder and Lubbock. In 40 games with Wichita, Strome picked up 15 goals and 18 assists, then finished the season with 19 points (10g, 9a) in 25 games with Lubbock.
Adams joins the Everblades after spending the previous four seasons at the collegiate level with Boston College. The 22-year-old collected seven points (1g, 6a) in 35 games with the Eagles last season. Overall, the Wayzata, Minnesota native notched 29 points (6g, 23a) in 136 career games at Boston College. A 3rd round draft pick by the Buffalo Sabres in 2002, Adams played at Germain Arena last season with the Eagles in the Everblades College Classic.
The Everblades travel to Gwinnett to take on the Gladiators on Friday & Saturday, November 11 & 12 at 7:35 p.m. Florida's next home game is Friday, November 18 vs. Charlotte. Everblades 2005-06 full season, half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
