
Everblades Defensemen Hotham and Duffy Promoted to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that defensemen Scott Hotham has been loaned to Rochester and defenseman Matt Duffy has been recalled to Rochester of the American Hockey League. The two first-year pros are expected to join the Amerks immediately. In another transaction, forward Milan Gajic has been assigned by the Albany River Rats.
Hotham, 25, earns his first promotion to the American Hockey League this season. Hotham has appeared in 60 games with Florida this season which is tied with Colin Nicholson for most games played this season. He has five goals and 26 assists for 31 points which is first among D-men on the Everblades. The Barrie, Ontario native has scored 22 of his 30 points on the power play. Hotham's 18 power-play assists rank first among ECHL rookies and he is tied for second in points (22). The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman currently ranks sixth among defenseman in scoring and is second in power-play assists and points.
Duffy, 24, earns his third recall to Rochester this season. He has appeared in nine games this season with the Amerks and scored a goal and four points. The 2005 Florida Panthers draft choice has appeared in 43 games with the Everblades this season and scored five goals and 14 points with 55 penalty minutes.
Gajic, 28, rejoins the Everblades after a one-game recall to Albany. In six appearances with the River Rats, Gajic has one goal. The five-year professional has 30 points (12g, 18a) in 22 games played for Florida this season. He missed 32 games this season due to an injury sustained in early November.
