Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have had forward Maxime Lacroix recalled by the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL).
Lacroix, 22, is in his second professional season and first with the Cyclones. In 33 games with Cincinnati, he has 14 goals and eight assists for 22 points. Maxime had the go-ahead goal in the 4-2 win at South Carolina, his former team, on Friday night. It is his third trip to Hamilton this season.
Lacroix is one of sixteen Cyclones players to earn a promotion to the American Hockey League, as he joins Hamilton- which is the top affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens (NHL). It is the 25th time a Cincinnati player has earned an AHL opportunity in 2009-2010. The club has had players appear in more than 180 games at the American Hockey League level and has lost 207 man-games due to these promotions.
The Cyclones are currently leading the North Division of the American Conference with a 38-19-3 record. The 79 standings points are four more than second place Kalamazoo, which has 75 points. The club is currently on its southern swing and plays the fourth of six straight road games today with a 4:05pm clash at defending Kelly Cup champion South Carolina. The game will be carried on the club's website at www.cycloneshockey.com. The Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena on Thursday, March 18 with a 7:30pm clash against Johnstown.
Tickets for the 2009-10 Kelly Cup playoffs will go on sale soon! Tickets for remaining regular season games and packages for the 2010-11 season are presently on sale. The Cyclones Sales Department can be reached at 513-421-PUCK, extension 3 for more details. The Cyclones have selected Friday night games carried on ESPN 1530 and all contests aired on their website at www.cycloneshockey.com.
