
Condors Hockey For Just $1 This Week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The first place Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, are preparing for a five-game series against the Las Vegas Wranglers this week, which kicks off with a pair of home games on Tuesday and Wednesday. The doors open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7 p.m., both nights. Fans the opportunity to purchase tickets for either game for just $1.
Tuesday's game is the annual Canned Food Collection night, sponsored by My 45, La Preciosa 105.3 and Payment Systems Worldwide. Anyone who brings two non-perishable food items for donation can get into the game for just $1. All the food will be donated to the Kern County Food Bank, the Kern County Gleaners, and other local charities. In the 11 years of this event, more than 14,000 pounds of food have been collected by the Condors and their fans, including 2,020 pounds last season alone.
Also during Tuesday night's game, fans will be treated to the Centennial High choir performing the American National Anthem. During the first intermission don't miss a presentation for F Stephane Goulet, who was selected the Kern Trophies Condor of the Month for February by the fans in an online poll at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. The Condors are providing a voucher for a complimentary ticket to anybody who donates blood at Houchin Blood Bank during the month. The voucher can be used for Tuesday's game, or the Condors final home game of the month, on March 30.
Please note for Tuesday's game, that due to the County Election taking place that day, all County-operated parking lots will be closed to Rabobank Arena patrons. County lots include the parking structure, L1, L2, L3, and P2, all of which are located off of "N" Street between N and L Street. Lot P1, directly behind the arena, is a city lot and will be available on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday's game is the next High School/College ID Night, sponsored by 106.1 KRAB Radio. All high school and college students can purchase a lower level ticket (based on availability) to the game for just $1 by showing their valid student ID at the box office.
After each game, two players will visit the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Table, located on the concourse behind section 108. D-men Luis Tremblay and Chris Allen will be at the table on Tuesday, while RW Nick Kemp and D Chris Brooks will visit on Wednesday. Players typically arrive close to 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
