LOOK BACK AT LAST GAMES: The Evansville Otters swept a doubleheader from the Southern Illinois Miners on Wednesday with a 3-0 win in game one, and a 2-0 victory in game two. First baseman Andrew Clark then led off the second inning of game one with a solo home run. Ahead 1-0, outfielder Taylor Black added an RBI single that scored Frank Martinez in the fourth and center fielder John Shultz hit a fifth inning solo home run for the three run edge. In game two, Nick Schwaner hit a two- run home run in the first inning. It would be all the run support pitcher Bryce Morrrow needed as he threw a complete game shutout to finish the doubleheader sweep of Southern Illinois.

DOUBLEHEADER DOMINANCE: The Evansville Otters are 7-1 this season in double- headers. The Otters are 17-3 over the last two seasons in doubleheaders.Evansville has swept three doubleheaders this season and have 6 more scheduled doubleheaders this season.

PITCHING PROWLESS: The Evansville Otters pitching staff has allowed two combined runs in the last four games. They have the third best earned run aver- age in the Frontier League (3.11) and have allowed a league-low in hits (107).

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SCOUTING REPORT: Entering last night's action, the Min- ers were never shutout in any game this season. The team with the top batting aver- age (.279) was shutout twice yesterday and held to just nine hits on the night. Southern Il- linois has a 4.40 earned run average this season and have committed 18 errors this season.
